It is certainly not possible to completely form our actions based upon history. But, when we see things like this we need to ask are we even learning from the past? I know we want to be an open and pluralistic society but one cannot even make the argument that radical Islam is not a sworn and dangerous enemy of the U.S. specifically and Western society and culture in general.
